Popular Ghanaian musician Mzbel has been left devastated following the death of her elder sister, whom she claims died after allegedly being denied immediate admission at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital due to the unavailability of beds.

In an emotional video shared on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the “16 Years” hitmaker broke down in tears as she recounted the circumstances surrounding the passing of her 46-year-old sister, Leila.

Dressed in black and wearing a headwrap, Mzbel struggled to hold back her emotions as she narrated the family’s ordeal, repeatedly breaking down while speaking.

According to the musician, Leila was rushed to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in critical condition but was allegedly turned away because there were no available beds for admission.

A distraught Mzbel blamed the government for what she described as the country’s persistent “no bed syndrome,” insisting that the delay in receiving medical attention contributed to her sister’s death.
