Speaking during a discussion on Starr FM, the celebrated broadcaster explained that she had always envisioned having just one child and never felt the desire to expand her family.

“I always wanted one child. And this may sound controversial, but I keep saying that if I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have even had a child,” she stated.

Despite the seemingly controversial nature of her remarks, Nana Aba made it clear that she is comfortable being a mother of one, explaining that her decision was influenced by the kind of lifestyle she wanted to maintain.

According to her, although she could have had more children, she deliberately chose not to because she wanted to concentrate her resources and attention on providing the best opportunities for her only child.

“I’m comfortable with one child because I want to live a certain life. Now, I could have had a second, third, fourth, fifth child. But no, I don’t want that,” she explained.

The media personality emphasised that her decision was not about her inability to raise more children but rather a personal choice to prioritise quality of life and financial independence.

“I’m okay with one because I want to give that child the best of everything,” she added.

Nana Aba further disclosed that having completed her son’s education, she is now at a stage in her life where she can focus on herself and enjoy the financial rewards of her hard work.

“At the moment, I’m done paying school fees. So the focus is on me. I’m enjoying my money,” she said.

Her comments took a humorous turn when she cautioned people against naming their children after her with the expectation that she would automatically assume financial responsibility for them.

“Don’t name your child after me because you think that I have the means to take care of your child,” she remarked.
