Kessben Group Reveals cause of business mogul Stephen Boateng’s death

The Kessben Group of Companies has provided an update about the death of its founder and CEO, lawyer Stephen Boateng, popularly known as Kessben.

According to a statement, he died after a short illness in Kumasi.

Kessben, also known as Kwabena Kesse, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.

The company confirmed the cause of his passing in a statement issued on Thursday.

“It is with profound sorrow that the Management of Kessben Group of Companies … announce the passing of its President/Founder/Chief Executive Officer, Lawyer Stephen Boateng (aka Kwabena Kesse / Kessben) who passed on Wednesday, 19th August, 2026 following a short period of illness in Kumasi,” the statement said.

The latest disclosure provides an update on the circumstances surrounding his passing, after news of his d!ath had already been shared.

The management of the Kessben Group extended its condolences to his family, church, legal fraternity and associates.

“The entire group mourns this tragic loss, and we extend our deepest condolences to his family, church, legal fraternity and wider social associates during this time of sorrow,” it added.

Kessben was the founder of the Kessben Group, which operates businesses including Kessben Media, Kessben Travel and Tours, Fosua Hotel Limited, Kessben Driving School, Kessben Shipping and Freight Forwarding, Aseda Clinic, Transit World, Aseda Insurance Brokerage and Kessben University College.
