“God bless America” – Celebrity soldier Raymond Kwaku celebrates after becoming American citizen

Raymond Kwaku has officially become an American citizen, completing another major step in his journey from serving in the Ghana Armed Forces to joining the US Army.

The Ghanaian soldier and internet personality took part in a US Naturalisation Ceremony, where he joined other service members as they received their citizenship documents.

Footage he shared on TikTok showed the ceremony taking place indoors at what appeared to be a Department of Homeland Security facility.

The service members later posed for group photos with American flags, with military and state flags visible in the background.

Raymond, who left the Ghana Armed Forces and enlisted in the US Army in 2025, thanked God, America and the US Army after becoming a citizen.

“My God is the greatest. God bless America and bless the American army,” he wrote.

Raymond had served in the Ghana Armed Forces for close to two decades after enlisting in 2005 before relocating to the United States and joining the US Army.

His decision to leave the Ghana Armed Forces and start a new chapter in the US attracted attention from Ghanaians who had followed his military career and social media presence.
