Cardi B has opened up about one parenting rule she says she won’t bend on when it comes to raising her sons, and the way she explained it has got people talking.

So apparently, during an early morning Instagram Live on Thursday, July 23, Cardi was talking about a conversation she had with some friends while they were out having dinner. The topic was simple: if your son grows up, would you allow him to bring girls home?

And Cardi’s answer was basically, she’s not going to be that strict mum who says her sons can’t date or have girls around. But there is one thing she says will change everything.

According to her, the moment any of her sons gets a girl pregnant, that’s the day he has to leave her house.

She explained that it’s not because she wants to be harsh, but because in her view, making that kind of decision means the person has to start taking responsibility like an adult.

She said once her son becomes a father, it won’t be about depending on “mummy’s money” or “daddy’s money” anymore. He has to step up, get a job, and learn how to handle the responsibilities that come with being a man.

Cardi also spoke about how her own mother raised her. She said while some of her friends were already dating and having relationships at a very young age, her mum made it clear that she could only start dating when she turned 16.

And when it comes to her daughters, Cardi said she wants to apply a similar rule because she believes young girls can easily get distracted when they start relationships.

Her point was that sometimes when young people enter relationships, especially at a young age, they can lose focus on school, their goals, and their future because all their attention goes into the relationship.

But when it comes to her sons, Cardi admitted that boys can be harder to control.

She said she knows boys will do what they want sometimes, so if her sons bring girls home, she won’t completely ban it. But there is one condition: the bedroom door cannot be closed.

Beyond that, Cardi also talked about how she plans to support her children financially as they grow.

She said when they become teenagers, she wants to give them allowances, and when they turn 18, she can help with rent if they decide to move out, as long as they are either going to school or starting a business.
