Revealed: Kwadwo Safo’s will named Akofena head of Kantanka family, not church leader – Lawyer
Lawyer for the Kristo Asafo Mission, Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka, has stated that the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo’s will did not appoint Kwadwo Safo Akofena as the next leader of the church.
The lawyer explained that the document only named Akofena as the head of the Kantanka family, a position intended to guide his siblings and preserve family unity.
“The will doesn’t appoint him specifically as the leader of the church. The will states that Akofena is the head of the Kantanka family,” he said on UTV.
Nana Kofi Safo Kantanka said the late founder distinguished between his family responsibilities and the leadership of the church, adding that Akofena would have been specifically named if he was intended to succeed him as church leader.
“In the father’s own wisdom, he knows he has a family and a church. If he wanted to appoint Akofena as the next leader of the church, he would have specifically mentioned his name,” he stated.
He added that the responsibility of selecting the next church leader was given to the Council of Elders, who were tasked with choosing from among Kwadwo Safo’s three children.Kwadwo Safo
