JOHN DUMELO RESPONDS WITH EVIDENCE AFTER WOMAN ACCUSED HIM OF NOT SHOWING UP FOR FLOOD VICTIMS
Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has responded after a resident accused him of failing to visit victims affected by the recent flooding in parts of his constituency.
The woman, who spoke to a blogger in a viral interview, claimed the MP had not shown up to check on residents or assess the damage caused by the floods.
During the interview, she also blamed the flooding on a newly constructed apartment building, alleging that it had been built over a drainage channel, blocking the natural flow of water and contributing to the flooding in the area.
In response, John Dumelo took to X (formerly Twitter), where he quoted the viral video and shared a photograph of himself embracing the same woman, suggesting that he had indeed visited the community and interacted with affected residents.
The post quickly sparked debate on social media, with users divided over the exchange.
While some defended the MP, accusing the woman of making false claims, others argued that his response did not address broader concerns about flood prevention and support for victims, insisting that more could have been done.
