“IN 2009, 2010, 2011, IF WE WERE GOING FOR SHOWS, CHECKING OUR CONVOY, YOU’D SEE LIKE 4 AMBULANC£S.”
Nigerian singer Peter Okoye of P-Square has revealed just how wild the impact of the music duo was on their fans during their golden era.
Peter of P-Square : “In 2009, 2010, 2011, if we were going for shows, checking our convoy, you’d see like four ambulancés. Because people used to faint as they watched us perform.
Most times, immediately after our shows, we’d drive straight to the hospital to see our fans who had been rúshed to høspital because they pâssed out watching us perform.”
According to Peter, P-Square’s performances during that period attracted so much excitement that some fans would reportedly faint while watching them on stage.
He explained that the situation became so common that ambulances were part of their convoy during shows, and after performing, they would sometimes head straight to the hospital to check on fans who had been rushed there.
Those P-Square days were truly different. Their music, dance moves and stage performances had fans going crazy everywhere they performed.
