US court bans celebrity chef Eric Adjepong from contacting daughter for one year following custody hearing

A Maryland court has ordered Ghanaian-American chef and Food Network personality Eric Adjepong to have no contact with his daughter, Lennox, for one year following a custody-related hearing.

According to TMZ, a final hearing on July 10 resulted in a protective order prohibiting Adjepong from contacting his daughter or going near her home, school and childcare providers until July 10, 2027.

The Washington Post reported that the judge found there was “a preponderance of the evidence to believe” Adjepong had physically abused the child. The order also requires that any contact with Lennox be supervised.

No criminal charges have been filed, and details of the alleged abuse have not been made public.

Through his attorney, Adjepong said the allegations arose during a long-running divorce and custody case with his ex-wife, Janell Mack, which concluded on June 2, 2026.

He said he is “strictly complying with every facet of the order” and hopes future matters involving their daughter can be resolved privately.

Adjepong, who has hosted Alex vs America and Wildcard Kitchen and competed in three seasons of Tournament of Champions, shares Lennox with Mack. Court records show their divorce proceedings, which began in January 2022, included disputes raised by both parties before the case was concluded.
