Innocentia Avinu, a 25-year-old Level 200 student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), has tragically been found dead after she went missing following a visit off-campus

She left campus on Thursday, but according to her friends, she did not return to her hostel that day. When attempts to reach her by phone failed, her family reported her missing on Friday.

A disturbing update has since arisen regarding the circumstances of her death.

Innocentia’s body was discovered along the shoreline after she reportedly left a hotel with friends to go swimming at the beach, reportedly known as Hutchland Beach in Cape Coast.

A photo, which allegedly shows Innocentia at the beach in swimwear, has circulated widely on social media, suggesting that the incident did not take place on the university campus as initially believed.

As of the latest reports, her body has been taken to the morgue, where an autopsy will be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Authorities have yet to make an official statement regarding the authenticity of the circulated photo, and investigations into the events leading up to her tragic passing are ongoing.
