‘I am working in my office’ – Moment Shatta Wale ‘shies’ Jomoro MP for interrupting his performance

For those seeking clarity on what transpired between Shatta Wale and Jomoro MP Dorcas Affo-Toffey during his performance at NkrumahFest 2026, here is what actually happened.

During Shatta Wale’s performance, Affo-Toffey approached him on stage and attempted to speak with him.

The dancehall artiste appeared unhappy with the interruption and reminded the MP that he was also working.

“I can’t disturb you ministers, especially when you are working in your various offices. I am f×cking working in my office. I am working,” Shatta Wale said.

He also told the MP and Deputy Minister for Transport that she should not interrupt him while he was performing.

Shatta Wale later paused his performance and turned to Affo-Toffey.

“So you were telling me something; what were you saying?” he asked.

Affo-Toffey explained that she had approached him to express her appreciation to Lands and Natural Resources Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for organising the event.

“I just want to appreciate Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah for organising this massive programme for the Nzema land. Every year, it gets better, and we are praying that next year it will get better,” she said.

Shatta Wale subsequently apologised to the MP and allowed her to speak before continuing his performance.
