Obogu youth attαck Agya Koo and Base Party after a member allegedly calls them ‘ Lazy Villagɛrs’

Residents and youth in Obogu, located in the Asante Akyem South District of the Ashanti Region, reportedly confronted Kumawood actor Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, and members of his political group, The Base Party, during a campaign visit to the town.

According to some angry youth in the community, tensions flared after an alleged comment made by a member of The Base Party.

The individual is said to have described the youth of Obogu as “lazy villagers” and claimed that they could easily be influenced to vote for a particular political party.

The remarks reportedly sparked outrage among many young people in the town, who viewed the statement as disrespectful and insulting to the people of Obogu. As a result, some youth gathered and confronted members of the campaign team when they arrived in the community, The BOYS TV has learnt.

Agya Koo and his team had visited Obogu as part of a campaign outreach aimed at engaging residents and sharing the vision of The Base Party.
