My church went down after my son’s death – Prophet Badu Kobi
Prophet Badu Kobi has revealed for he first time that the death of his son was the beginning of his woes.
He said people spread rumours that he was into ritùal practices and allegations of dr+g use were among the issues that collapsed his church.
Speaking in an interview on Adom TV, the founder of Glorious Wave Church International said his difficulties began after his son, who was a student at Ashesi University, died in 2017.
“People started spreading rumours that I had k,,illed my son. That I had joined the occult and had used my son for rituàls. Such rumours started scaring people off,” he said.
Badu Kobi also recalled allegations made against him by former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, saying he was accused of sm+king marijuana, using liquid c+caine and being linked to multiple d,eaths.
“He said that I smoke wèed. That I take liquid c+caine. That I have k,,illed a lot of people. I was sh+cked. What the honourable did to me hurt me,” he said.
The preacher said those events affected his ministry, adding that the period also revealed the people who genuinely stood by him.
“Those years actually exposed those who pretended to love me but secretly hated me.
“It was good for me in a way. I have left everything to God. When someone offends you and you retaliate, it’s only for a short while.
“But when God avenges you, it is very nice. I have left everything to God,” he said.
