Samsung Introduces Galaxy Buds On for Comfortable Outdoor Listening
Samsung Unveils Galaxy Buds On, Its First Clip-On Wireless Earphones
Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Buds On, a new pair of wireless earphones designed with a clip-on, open-ear form factor.
The Galaxy Buds On are the first clip-style earphones in Samsung’s Galaxy Buds lineup. Instead of being inserted deep into the ear canal, the earbuds sit lightly around the ear, allowing users to listen to audio while remaining aware of their surroundings.
Samsung says the design is intended to provide greater comfort during long periods of use. It may also be useful for people who listen to music while walking, exercising or cycling, since the open-ear design allows them to hear traffic, conversations and other sounds around them.
The company said it studied data from different ear shapes and used simulations to arrange the speakers and batteries in a way that would improve comfort and stability.

Samsung will initially release the Galaxy Buds On in South Korea in a single black colour. The earphones are scheduled to go on sale on October 27, with a price of 299,000 South Korean won equivalent to approximately GH₵2,580 based on the latest available exchange rate.. The company said a global release would follow in stages, although it did not provide detailed dates for other markets.
The new product expands Samsung’s audio range beyond traditional in-ear earbuds. Open-ear and clip-on designs have gained attention because they offer a balance between listening to music and staying connected to the surrounding environment.
Samsung is entering a category that already includes products such as Huawei’s FreeClip and other open-ear headphones from companies including Bose and Sony. These products are generally marketed to runners, commuters and users who find traditional earbuds uncomfortable.
The launch also gives Samsung another way to connect its audio products to the wider Galaxy ecosystem. The company’s earbuds are designed to work with Galaxy smartphones and other devices, allowing users to manage settings and switch between connected products.
